What type of therapy will I receive?
At MyLyfe Counseling Center we have an integrative psychotherapy approach. This means we are trained in a variety of therapy models including EMDR, CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness and others. The therapy you receive will depend on your individual symptoms or experiences. You and your therapist will collaborate to discuss the best form of treatment for you.
Do you accept health insurance?
Visit our Therapist Team page to see which therapist may accept select insurance plans such as Aetna, United Healthcare, and Cigna. If your selected therapist does not accept your insurance, superbills can be provided to utilize your PPO out-of-network benefits.
What are your fees?
Our fees vary depending on your selected therapist, length of session, and type of therapy. Please visit out Therapy Team page to learn more. If you have a financial hardship ask about our sliding scale option which is available first come first serve.
How long does therapy last?
Self-care isn't always easy. Everyone will have their own individual plan of treatment. Your length of treatment will depend on your needs, therapeutic goals, your motivation to work towards change, and frequency of sessions. Although results can't be guaranteed, on average, most people report favorable changes within 6-12 sessions of consistent therapy. Some people also choose to continue mental health and wellness care for years to address day-to-day challenges or future-related planning and concerns.
